… above is a shot of a Redtail Hawk fledging … his first leap of faith as he hurls himself out over the abyss entering flight for the first time. You can almost see it in his eyes and body positions … “Here I go!” One other chick fledged that day and the third on the following day. The nest is about 150′ above the ground and I was about 300′ from the action in the tram that goes up to the house.
Below is a Ring-billed Gull wheeling in flight in front of a cliff at Lake Pleasant … few birds can fly like the gull and when there isn’t much action with other birds down there, a few handfuls of dry cat food tossed out towards them creates a feeding frenzy and some of the most beautiful aerobatics you will ever see … no cat food this day.
My new Canon R5 MK II bodies arrived today, and they are now set up and ready to go … tomorrow will find me somewhere shooting.
Have a beautiful day, into the weekend and the plan is to be back Monday morning … smile and keep breathing!
Cheers,
Ted
Sleep quietly, now that
the gates of the day are
closed. Leave tomorrow’s
problems for tomorrow.
The earth is peaceful
Only the stars are abroad,
and they will not
cause you any trouble.
