By Ted Grussing
It is spring and the time of year when all manner of flowers are putting on their finery trying to attract the insects, birds and whatever to come visit and assist in the pollination of their blooms … continuation of the species assured … choose me … and this Iris in Allan and Marge’s yard called out to me this morning. It is a Dutch Blue Iris, and has my vote … for now. Next month the Innovator planted in our yard will be in bloom and that trumps all.
A wonderful day spent with friends and family. A cheeseburger at the Hilton with a friend for lunch and chili at Sound Bites with my cousin Arlyn and his wife Bonnie tonight. Anthony provided his usual fabulous entertainment and then home. Time to wrap it for the night and into the air in not that many hours. Fun times.
Seems the initial reaction re April Fool’s Day on the camera was accurate … oh well, happy with what I have … nice to work for something better in the future, but the present is a good place to be since that is where we all are.
Into the weekend, share your joy and a few smiles. Have fun and I’ll be back Monday morning … that is the plan and to enjoy those moments between now and then :+)
Smiles

…I yield myself to the thousand enchantments of sky and field and wood,
and play again like a child on the soft green of the earth.
And as the God of the universe has made thee to bloom in tenderness,
so also may my heart be made to bloom again.
