    … and this is part of the series when our angelic predator took to the air after his meal was safely in his belly … he flew directly at me and the last photos in the series were totally out of focus as he was too close and even down to 100mm on the zoom lens he did not fit in the frame. Truly fun!

    A day of tech issues being resolved with my account at Network Solutions and the API (application interface) with Constant Contact. After hours on hold and dealing with tech reps who didn’t know what they were doing I opened a new account with Constant Contact where the tech people are really good. Saved the contact list and lost 7 years of past online emails and all the metrics of past mailings. Worth it though and I have my own backups going back 17 years.

    More work creating new templates tomorrow, plus the drawer by drawer project continues. Life can truly be fun and regardless of the plans we make, intervening events can change it all … it would be a boring life if our plans always worked!

    Have a beautiful day … keep breathing and smile!

    If the noise of the city offend you,
    go afield when you may, with the birds and
    the wild, free life that troubles not;

    The growing grain and the placid sky
    have a kind of voice; and though you are
    alone, the boundlessness of the universe
    is with you.

    Go afield and dream and forget;
    and you will see that you are changed when
    you return and the lights of the city
    gleam in the twighlight.

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    By Tommy Acosta
    Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
