… we want to go this way … we’re leaving now … like no, it didn’t work out that way and Mom corralled the wayward kids and off they went in the direction Mom decided on. With Mother’s Day coming up I had to send this shot out. I took it down at the ponds over the weekend and was pleased to see several hen mallards with their broods of fresh life on the water. Not much else and the wind was blowing pretty good so no predators plying the sky.
Another good day wrapping up and more than likely tomorrow will be good as well. Got a new 24 x 48 print of one of my favorite composites hung in the dining room today … worked on some stones, photos and ran errands. More of the same on tap for today and whatever else comes along … real planning!
A friend sent me some old photos today and think I will try and get them looking good and send one out tomorrow; especially like the one from 1907 with a large sailing vessel on Rogers Lake. It used to be a high water all year lake until they drained it … understand it could be fixed and become an all year lake again, but doubt if they will ever do that … preserve what is now and not before now. Oh well, it still fills up for a little while most years and if I fly low enough I can get nice reflections of the peaks in the lake.
Have a beautiful day today.
For was this right that I should eat and live by that another through his toil had earned?
But one good hope then fed my hungry soul:
That I should live by what my hands could do.
