    … with some new photos I took in the last few days and listening to the mood altering music, Shamanic Dream by Anugama. Sunday morning while out early morning I took some shots of an Iris before the sun came up … the lighting was soft and restful. Then this afternoon I was out on a late afternoon walk and the beautiful lacey patterns of the clouds in the sky called me to capture their beauty, and I did.

    Anugama’s music always calms me and I relax and take a ride through the universe whilst listening to the haunting melodies. The Iris was there as were the clouds and some experimenting resulted in a blending of the best of each and hope you enjoy the image. No Photoshop filters just a blending of music, flower and the sky.

    Another beautiful day and time with new friends from Cape Town S.A. and others whom I have known for longer. Work on digital images and sorting and discarding of slides and negatives. A most excellent day if ever there was one … and One agrees that she creates most excellent days and about her participation in creating this day.  Once again quietly directing events while  sleeping on her back and feet squarely placed on two of the three monitors.

    Have a beautiful day and share your joy and a few smiles … the world needs a few more.

    Smiles

    Though work bring naught of power nor wealth
    Spare me from want of common needs, And give a share of manly health,
    A few good friends of honest deeds;
    And till death’s peaceful slumber nears, a life of undishonored years.

    The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
    Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
