    Healing Paws

    By Ted Grussing

… to sometime in the 80’s when Cork and I spent some time in Morrow Bay as we headed up the coast. This is a scan of a shot I took late afternoon of a nice sailing vessel in the bay and I have softened the focus on it to give it kind of a dreamy effect. Heading back up to Half Moon bay towards the end of the month for a short visit with Ted, Sus and Annika and plan on doing some shooting in the harbor up there and if I’m lucky there will be some large swells coming in so I can get some good surf shots too. Always missing the sea and good to get back there with some frequency.

The stem cells keep working and it is really a great feeling to sense your own body is doing good things to itself. Probably about a 20% improvement now and it has only been 4 days. Really a neat treatment protocol. Almost spooky how good the knees and legs are beginning to feel and I’m starting to follow the girls’ advice to binge watch and stay off my feet … currently hooked on Rome a two season HBO series. Only about ten hours of it left, but with a busy day scheduled for today it will likely be Wednesday before I’m done with it.

Time for some rest and pretty soon espresso time again! Have a beautiful day and share your joy … if you don’t think you have any to share, try spending time with someone you care about or go find a little kitty, puppy or a reflection in a puddle :+)

    Cheers

    Ted

City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal
    By Tommy Acosta
The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
