By Ted Grussing
… had hoped to send a photo from the top of the Pepperdine University campus tonight with a great view of the Pacific Ocean, but I got here too late and the sun was then providing a beautiful end of day in Hawaii. Instead here is my all time favorite of a Great Blue Heron, heading down the road at end of day. I have a 24 x 48 of this one in my home and never tire of it and the quiet message of life and hope that it engenders in me.
Have a beautiful day, back Monday morning
Ted
Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am;
and keep ever burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope.
And though age and infirmity overtake me, and I come not within
sight of the castle of my dreams, teach me still to be thankful for life;
and for time’s olden memories that are good and sweet; and may
the evenings twilight find me gentle still.
