By Ted Grussing
… it was a beautiful sight to see these best buds groom each other this morning whilst cruising the west side of Lake Pleasant … we were in search of whatever was there to be found. For me the treasure of the day is this photo of two wild burros on a ridge above the shoreline. We got many other critters and birds, waterfowl and landscape images … but this is the special one.
Tomorrow night I will send out the littlest of the birds we shot … the Canyon Wren. It was especially friendly and some of the shots we got were within eight feet and they are a very beautiful bird. The water level in the lake is still rising and seems several feet higher than a couple of weeks ago. Where there once was land, there is now ten feet or more of water. Not sure how much longer they will be filling it, but soon enough when agriculture once again needs water for irrigation the stored water will be pumped out.
A beautiful day coming up and methinks it shall be a very good one … for you too!
Cheers,
Ted
