    … The monsoon storms were dumping on Camp Verde and Cottonwood and some were rolling through the Sedona area too. You can see how relatively small the cells are … generally no more than a few miles or so in diameter. I like this photo which was shot from just south of Munds Canyon. Foreground left is Oak Creek Canyon with the creek hidden in the deep green foliage and SR 89A running down canyon to the right of it.

    Following it down you can see it go into the uptown area and then continue south with a slight jog to the right as it heads down to Cottonwood passing the airport on the west side. From the slight cluster which is uptown you can see a road meander off to the left (east) and that is SR 179which continues to the south passing through the Chapel area and the Village of Oak Creek where we live. In the foreground right you have Wilson Mountain and from this vantage point you can see the volcanic cone on the far right … notice too how it has been laid open by earthquakes many years ago . The sheared part of the cone has traveled about a quarter mile south and also dropped about the same. Oak Creek Canyon was partially formed by earthquake activity as well as erosion. Pretty cool place! And I love the view looking SSE too.

    Had to change plans today as I didn’t get my cutting projects finished so it was nose to the grindstone … actually my fingers holding opal and other stones. Have a terrific day and talk soon.

    Cheers … be the blessing someone was to you … and smile.

    And lastly give sweet sleep
    Closed sight, no fright
    That fears will o’er me creep;
    And now a last goodnight.

    Trust

    Trust. We must trust our president. He knows what he is doing, and when he is done with Iran there will be peace and stability in the world. His ordering of the attack on Iran and the killing of the Ayatollah was the right thing to do.
