(PHOENIX, Ariz. – Aug. 25, 2025) – Mercy Care has awarded The Foster Alliance a 2025 Mercy C.A.R.E.S. Community Reinvestment Grant in the amount of $100,000 to expand access to basic essentials for children in foster care and deepen the impact of services for families across Northern Arizona.

The funding will be distributed across multiple programs, ensuring children and caregivers receive vital items such as clothing, beds, and hygiene items—resources that not only meet immediate needs but help restore dignity and stability during times of crisis.

“This generous grant from Mercy C.A.R.E.S. will significantly expand our capacity to meet the urgent and growing needs of foster children and families in Northern Arizona,” said Maureen Noe, CEO of The Foster Alliance. “With these funds, we’ll be able to increase access to basic-essentials and provide deeper support for kinship caregivers who often step in with little notice and few resources.

According to Noe, these programs play a crucial role in creating stability and dignity for children experiencing trauma.

“Our partnership with the Foster Care Alliance reflects a shared commitment to ensuring every child in foster care has access to the support and resources they need to thrive,” said Karrie Steving, Mercy Care’s children’s system of care administrator and DCS CHP. “Together, we’re removing barriers and building a stronger foundation for healing and hope.”
