    logo_runsedonaSedona AZ (September 24, 2018) – The 14th Annual RunSedona event (formally the Sedona Marathon Event) is taking place on February 2, 2019. Gather your family and friends to start your year off with fitness goals on a course that you will never forget. Register before September 30 to save with Early Bird Pricing!

    This boutique destination running event is expected to host more than 3,000 runners and walkers who will participate in one of three breathtaking panoramic courses: 5K, 10K and Half Marathon.

    20180924_2015SedonaMarathon-161The course will take registrants through the scenic Coconino National Forest District, known for its magical iron-clad formations, and onto the streets of one of the most beautiful cities in the country – Sedona, AZ, recently placed on the “Top 10 Best Small Towns in America” list!

    Spectators, supporters and participants will be treated to an Expo and Packet Pick-Up at Posse Grounds Park featuring vendors that will inspire and entertain both locals and visitors alike. All registrants will also have access to a fully loaded Virtual Goodie bag, a gender specific commemorative event tech tee, with all finishers receiving the coveted Sedona custom finishers medal.

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
