logo_sedonapoliceSedona AZ (July 7, 2014) – The Sedona Police Department, in partnership with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS), will be conducting a 90 day Selective Enforcement Patrols (STEP) within the city limits of Sedona.  STEP is focused on a variety of safety-related moving violations and traffic offenses.  The goal of the selective enforcement is not only to locate violators of traffic laws, but to also increase public awareness about motorists of traffic laws and to reduce and prevent vehicle accidents and fatalities.

I hope they patrol Badger Drive in the Chapel area. Only tourist go by at 25 mph because they are lost. Most residents and contractors drive 35 to up to 50 mph. ( I never complained to the police department because when I spoke to the police chief at the airport car show in 2012……he said people speed in his neighborhood too.)

    No Home Rule

Home Rule allows the city government, Staff with limitations, and Council to spend any money they have on any project they want without regard to voter input.
