    Book-signing Event at Museum

    Sedona Heritage MuseumSedona AZ (September 28, 2011) – The Sedona Heritage Museum will host a book-signing for a new book called “Turning Back the Pages of Time” by author Ellen Thompson Graves on Saturday, October 8 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Museum.

    20110927 booksigningThompson Graves is a granddaughter of John James (J.J.) Thompson, Oak Creek Canyon’s first permanent Anglo settler. She was born and raised in the canyon. Her new book is a collection of stories about her grandfather, parents, and other members of the Thompson family and some of their neighbors who built a life along Oak Creek. Many are based on the stories she started recording in a notebook in the 1960s. She also checked her stories with family and other pioneers and pioneer descendants.
