Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the moon landings with special film debut event
Sedona AZ (July 7, 2019) – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with the premiere of the award-winning film “Armstrong” showing Tuesday, July 16 at 4 and 7 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Fittingly, it is also a full moon night.
The true story of the man who took mankind’s greatest leap.

Dramatic, moving and deeply human, “Armstrong” offers the definitive life story of Neil Armstrong: from his childhood in Ohio to his first steps on the Moon, and beyond (and the unsought-after celebrity status that ensued). It is the story of a man who was an aviator, astronaut, husband, father and reluctant hero.
Neil Armstrong’s words are narrated by Harrison Ford and the film weaves together breath-taking NASA footage, re-mastered archive material, and never-before-seen home movies, to tell the incredible untold story of a determined family man who became a global icon.
“Armstrong” also includes major interviews with his family, an exceptional cast of fellow astronauts and aviators, those who knew him in his youth and later life, together with newly filmed sequences at some of the key locations from his life story.
“Armstrong” will show at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on full moon night: Tuesday, July 16 at 4 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona.
