    Sedona News – Keep Sedona Beautiful will hold its next Preserving the Wonder Speaker Series event on Wednesday, March 20 at 5:00 pm. This month’s speaker is Roxanne Holland, Director of Wastewater for the City of Sedona. Her topic will be “City of Sedona Treated Wastewater Quality and Management.”  Please visit the KSB website, www.keepsedonabeautiful.org for details.

    Roxanne’s talk is the second part of a series on Sedona water quality and management.  Hear from Sedona’s wastewater management expert on how the City of Sedona has treated wastewater and managed the quality of that water, disposed of treated wastewater (effluent), how we got to where we are today, and what may lie ahead for the future of the City of Sedona effluent management.

    Roxanne Holland, P.E. is a licensed Civil Engineer. She has worked for the City of Sedona for 11 years and is currently the Director of Wastewater.  She holds a Wastewater Collections Operator 1 license and a Wastewater Treatment Operator 2 license.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University and 15 years’ experience in the municipal water and wastewater industry.

    The Preserving the Wonder Speaker series is held on the third Wednesday of each month.

      Great job ! Is that is the so called “Treated” wastewater that is pumped into the aquifer and the city only has an educated guess as to where it goes?

      You know when the government says something is treated, that means diddly squat.

      Pharmaceuticals like all kinds of interesting drugs are NOT removed.
