Sedona AZ (August 28, 2019) – The city of Sedona seeks applicants for one seat on the Sedona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) local board.
The local board administers the pension system for the Sedona Police Department and follows the rules of the PSPRS system and Arizona Revised Statutes. Additionally, the board makes decisions for Sedona police officers on issues such as membership in the system and approving retirements and service purchase requests.
Meetings are scheduled as needed and are required at least twice a year by state statute. The term is four years, and those interested must live within city limits. Board members are volunteers and serve without pay.
The term of service for this seat is four years, beginning April 26, 2019 and expiring on April 25, 2023.
Applications may be picked up at the City Clerk’s office located at 102 Roadrunner Dr., 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or by accessing a fillable PDF version.
Return completed applications to the City Clerk’s Office by mail or hand no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 17.
