OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) Brown Bag Brain Buzz will host John Soderberg, world-renowned bronze sculptor, November 14
Clarkdale AZ (November 8, 2019) – John Soderberg has bronze sculptures, both big and small, on display around the world. His topic will be, “’Talent’ – What is it?” After teaching sculpture around the country for over 35 years, and seeing my two daughters choose sculptural careers at age two and three, I have strong feelings about this thing we call “Talent,” and the damage that concept does to children – and adults. Much of my teaching includes repairing that damage. I personally had no talent. I had to work to learn and evolve.”
Come and listen to what John thinks talent is and how it can be nourished. John lives and works in Sedona. You can see one of his creations “Poseidon” on the Yavapai College Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale.
Bring your brown bag or purchase lunch at the Snack Bar in Building F at the Verde Valley Campus, located at 601 Black Hills Drive, Clarkdale on Thursday, November 14, to Room M-137, 12:30 – 1:30 and join us at this free lunchtime forum, sponsored by Yavapai College.
