    (December 19, 2020)

Letter to The EditorDonald Trump got us to ” America First ” without any help from anywhere and all by himself ( China excuse is excluded ).This was confirmed on December 16, 2020 when on this day 6956 Americans all died of COVID-19. No other nation came close and this number surely exceeded the single day American death totals for Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Don’t we owe dearest Donnie an award for this singular achievement as it was reported on the very same date he was safe, warm and sound resting in a White House bunker doing nothing to stop the virus, hunger and joblessness besetting our nation. Or vengefully composing a list of those who he blames for his losing the election.

The award choices we might consider could be chosen from among these; most prolific all time White House fornicator, possessor of the largest yellow belly( a defense department warrior ), most generous non self serving president ( HA ), outstanding supporter of companion staffers ( HA HA ), first place of all liars or loony narcissistics in sight or maybe wrap them all up in one word as in  ” bastard “. These choices are not meant to be limiting or singular.

We must not neglect to recognize this prize winning greatest of all our presidents should we.

For consideration from an unbiased American

    Stay safe and well

Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
