Sedona, Az — Many people have heard of the magical vortexes of Sedona, Arizona but few know the history, the science, and the true power of these spinning twirls of healing and transformational energy.

Theories abound on the nature of these vortexes and how they actually create the energy that so many have experienced and recounted. Yet, no single theory exists as to how and why these natural vortices work and exist.

But now, thanks to the Hillside Harmony Information Center in Sedona, the public has an opportunity to learn from experts of the true nature and beauty of these Red Rock Country phenomena to which people from all over the world come to for enlightenment, guidance, inspiration and spiritual growth.

Starting Thursday, August 10, at 1 p.m. and running through the day, Hillside Harmony will be featuring its “Vortex Visions” show, a 20-minute film that explores and explains the mysteries of the vortexes.

Narrated by Spirit of Sedona Magazine publisher Koz Mraz, the film takes viewers on an enthralling journey into the root of the vortex experience.

It delves into the historical significance of Sedona, exploring the lives of Native Americans who once inhabited this land, followed by the settlers of the 1800s.

The film offers an explanation of how the vortex term was applied to the energy of Sedona, followed by insights from renowned local vortex expert, Pete Sanders.

A respected MIT graduate, Mr. Sanders has dedicated over 40 years to studying Vortex energy and offers a scientific perspective on how one can harness this energy to improve their lives.

The film also notes the various ways through which visitors can experience vortexes in Sedona, such as through guided earth wisdom vortex tours, jeep tours, helicopter flights, hot air balloon rides, and more.

Further, understanding that a significant number of Sedona visitors come seeking answers about the vortex and, more importantly, which specific vortex they should visit, Hillside Harmony has introduced a complimentary Online Vortex Profile Quiz that provides accurate vortex tour recommendations based on participants’ physical abilities, preferences (such as whether they prefer an overlook or being near a creek), and spiritual aspirations (such as seeking a fresh perspective or healing their past).

Developed by Pete Sanders, the quiz has proven remarkably accurate, with many locals attesting that the result matched their favorite vortex experience.

This is great news. I always wanted to see something definitive on the Sedona Vortexes. Can’t wait to see it.

    What Would I Change?
    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

What would I change if I could? You and I both know I can’t, but it’s a fun exercise anyway. I would have been less of a know-it-all on my spiritual journey. It seems to be a side-effect of the path. Spiritual folks develop an all-knowing buffer to protect against their inevitable surrender to the unknown, but understanding that now didn’t make it gentler on me or those I loved, let alone those that I deemed not capable of getting it 😉 Yeah … I’d have dropped the spiritual snob act. I’d have recognized that spiritual radicals are only different on the outside from radical right Christians, and that the surface doesn’t really matter as much as I thought. We are all doing our couldn’t be otherwise things, playing our perfect roles. I’d have learned to bow down humbly before my fellow man, regardless of whether I agreed with him or not. We’re all in this together and not one of us will get out alive. Read more→
