Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is taking its show on the road with its new “Movies on the Move” mobile movie truck and outdoor film experience!
The next event of the summer will be Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Hillside Sedona, featuring the blockbuster big screen sensation “When Harry Met Sally”. Showtime will be at dusk (approximately 7:00 p.m.).
Bring your lawn chairs and your family and friends and enjoy “Starry Night Cinema” under the stars on the festival’s giant outdoor screen with state-of-the-art projection and sound! The festival’s mobile concession stand will have movie treats available.
“When Harry Met Sally” — directed by Rob Reiner — was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay (Nora Ephron).
In 1977, college graduates Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) and Sally Albright (Meg Ryan) share a contentious car ride from Chicago to New York, during which they argue about whether men and women can ever truly be strictly platonic friends. Ten years later, Harry and Sally meet again at a bookstore, and in the company of their respective best friends, Jess (Bruno Kirby) and Marie (Carrie Fisher), attempt to stay friends without sex becoming an issue between them.
This “Starry Night Cinema” event is presented by the Sedona International Film Festival and sponsored by Hillside Sedona.
The Hillside Merchants and Restaurants will have other food and drink options as well as special promotions at the shops, businesses and galleries.
“When Harry Met Sally” will be shown outdoors at Hillside Sedona (671 State Route 179) on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at dusk. Seating will begin at 6 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Hillside Sedona.
Tickets are only $7 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
