    logo_clarkdaledowntownbuisnessallianceClarkdale AZ (October 19, 2016) – The Clarkdale Downtown Business Alliance and Made In Clarkdale are organizing the 1st Annual HOWL-O-WEEN event for our fur friends (dogs) and their owners on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from10am to 1pm at the Clarkdale Town Park located at 11th and Main in historic downtown Clarkdale. 

    The pet festival and costume contest will include the following doggie activities – Bobbing for hot dogs, Cornhole toss, Nail painting for dogs, Take a Photo with your fur friend and Yappy hour!  We will also have dog training demonstrations and speakers on best dog leashes to use, safe holidays for dogs, dog health, and more!   Several of our local vendors – Paws on Main, Olsen’s Grain, Pet Sense, and TimberWoof Pet Boutique & Accessories will be there too with special treats for your pet. 

    Clarkdale Market will be there offering their wonderful food treats and drinks to those who get hungry during the event!  Dress up in your best Halloween costume of you and your pet and be a part of the Costume contest where you can win Best of Show prizes.

    Sedona Gift Shop

    Bring a bag of dog or cat food and you will get “Doggy Dollars” to participate in the activities or you can buy “Doggy Dollars” at the park!   Proceeds from Howl-o-ween will go to benefit Jerome Human Society and Verde Valley Human Society animal rescue and adoption programs.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
