logo_townofclarkdaleClarkdale AZ (June 9, 2015) – The Town of Clarkdale Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, June 16 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss proposed changes to the Zoning Code related to commercial zoning districts. These include allowing certain agricultural uses in commercial zoning districts, adding park and ride facilities as a permitted use, consolidating specific uses into broader categories and alphabetizing and standardizing language throughout four commercial districts.  Development standards for agriculture to control water and fertilizer use and minimize impact on residential areas are also being reviewed.

Changes being proposed provide clarification to the existing code and should make it easier to use by the public and staff. New uses being considered for adoption reflect current trends in land use.

The public is invited to attend the meeting to learn more about the proposed changes and to provide input to the Planning Commission. Final changes will be adopted by the Clarkdale Town Council latter this year.
