logo_hornsaloonCamp Verde AZ (June 19, 2014) – National and state wide recognized magazine Arizona Highways, has highlighted The Horn in the journal section of the upcoming July issue. Journalist Kathy Montgomery mentions key elements of The Horn such as wine on tap, craft brews, locally sourced ingredients, and interior decor. Describing The Horn as “a pleasure to behold” the article mentions favorite entrees including whisky brushed burgers and roasted lamb.

The article also includes a brief history of The Horn, the owners, Barbara and Steve Goetting, and how a simple wine bar with a twist evolved into the restaurant it is today. The Horn opened in Fall 2011, with the intention of being a wine bar that served tapas, and has evolved into a full restaurant serving lunch and dinner over the last couple of years. The recognition from Arizona Highways will help bring attention to the restaurant and Camp Verde as a destination.

Arizona Highways is a monthly magazine that highlights travel and photography throughout the state of Arizona. The magazine is published by Arizona Department of Transportation, and each month it features unique destinations across the state to share with over 200,000 readers nationally and internationally.

Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
