    logo_sedonaredrockhighschoolSedona AZ (January 18, 2015) – For those of you who grew up loving Frank Sinatra’s voice and music you are in for a special treat Saturday, Jan. 24, when the Sedona Red Rock High School Booster Club puts on its Sedonalicious Evening special tribute to Old Blue Eyes as part of its fundraising efforts for students and sports.

    Performing the tribute to Sinatra and his contemporaries for the event titled “An Evening With Frank Sinatra and Friends” will be world-renowned celebrity impersonator Robbie Howard coming straight from Las Vegas to bring the music, comedy, wit and charisma of Sinatra’s era to Sedona.

    20150118_srrhsThe show will be held at the Sedona Performing Arts Center preceded by a “Dessert Reception” hosted by Enchantment Resort and Silent Auction beginning at 7 p.m.

    The cost for that is $40 per person.

    For those who really want to make a special night out of it there is also a second package being offered by the Booster Club for $85 where supporters are not only treated to the Dessert Reception and the show but also get to enjoy a full dinner, Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres at a participating community “host” home.

    According to organizers, each guest will be having cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner at a host home in Sedona starting at 5:30 pm, then at 7:30 p.m. come to the Performing Arts Center for a Dessert Reception, Silent Auction and show.

    On the RSVP, they will choose their first “two” choices; meat, fish, chicken or vegetarian. They can list other names of people they would like to dine with at the same home. 

    Each host home will be serving one type of entrée, meat, chicken or fish. Guests can choose if they’d like shuttle service to and from the Performing Arts Center and host home for the show and dessert Reception.

    The organizers will assign guests to each home based on food choice.

    It will be a Sedonalicious Evening for all!

    Tickets are available at Basha’s, the SRRHS Main office and at Sterling financial Services

    This will be be a wonderful evening benefiting the students of Sedona Red Rock High School and raising community spirit and awareness! The ultimate goal!

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
