Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with award-winning surround sound composer and producer Koz Mraz for Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” in 5.1 Surround Sound on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
Everyone has experienced 5.1 surround in movie theaters, but hearing Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” mixed specifically for six speakers is simply astounding. Mixed by Alan Parsons himself (the original engineer on Dark Side of the Moon) listeners are immersed in this lavish ever-evolving sonic landscapes that only Pink Floyd commands.
You Will Be Blown Away by this Limited Dark Room 5.1 Surround Music Experience in Sedona’s best sound system, the Mary D. Fisher Theater. This is a no-visuals sonic experience, reminiscent of lost art of listening to music in the dark with the most amazing surround sound 5.1 music this side of the solar system. Mraz released three albums on surround sound label DTS (Digital Theater Systems) and toured with Alan Parsons (Engineer on Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon). Alan Parsons not only mixed Dark Side of the Moon in stereo, he also mixed a surround sound version.
Limited to a maximum seating of 35. Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” will be featured at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20.
