… over the last 20+ years I have spent hundreds of hours in the air photographing the landscape of Sedona and northern Arizona from the air and especially the last fifteen or so years my motorglider served as an aerial tripod as I experimented with shooting the terrain from various altitudes, angles, times of day and varying weather conditions … now I have a portfolio with tens of thousands of these images and periodically I go through them.
The shot above is looking up Long Canyon on a wintry January day … Seven Canyons resort is just below center in the canyon on on the skyline, Kendrick Peak is on the left, San Francisco Peaks center and just to the right of it is Mt. Elden … it was a beautiful day to be in the air.
Below are a couple of Widgeons taking off from a pond and their reflections moving out with them. Life is happening all around us and all the time … find some time to immerse yourself in the real world.
Check out the September issue of Arizona Highways … I finally got a centerfold … two full page centerfold aerial shot of Steamboat Rock in the foreground and Wilson Mountain in the background. Article in the November issue of Sedona Monthly will detail the joy and service that the Humane Society of Sedona brings to all of us who live in the area. Nimbus, Q, One and Katie will all participate in this joyful tribute.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
