Camp Verde News – After painting intimate landscape portraits of the world around her, a relationship with the landscape emerged. These paintings are from a small part of Camp Verde, the Salt Mine Road area. Local Camp Verde artist, Mary Rush, says that she saw the landscape around her home more in-depth with each painting she painted. The land revealed itself in all its intricacies and specialness. These paintings are about place and emerging from that place.
A curated selection of paintings from the artist’s series titled, Emergence is now showing at the Camp Verde Community Library through the end of February. While at the library, check out the artist’s website, WildfeatherFineArt.com where she created a virtual art show of the series. She hopes to inspire and uplift the viewer through her art, the videos, and painting descriptions on her website.

Special Plein Air Workshop by Mary Rush
A joint program with Camp Verde Community Library and Camp Verde Parks & Recreation
Rush will be conducting a Plein air workshop on Saturday, February 26 from 10 am to 12 pm, Noon at Rezzonico Family Park, Camp Verde. Learn how to see and put that vision down on canvas. Get out in nature and create. We’ll also practice good nature rules like “Pack-in/Pack-out,” and “Leave No Trace.” No art experience is needed. Beginners are welcome. Space is limed to six participants. All supplies and materials are provided for your convenience. We’ll paint using oil paints with no solvents. The nominal fee for this workshop is $25 for each person. Pre-registration is required. Register at WildfeatherFineArt.com.
