City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (July 20, 2021) – The city is accepting applications to the 2021 Citizens Academy, where participants will not only receive a holistic understanding of how local government functions but also learn about how the city is tackling big, community topics like workforce housing, sustainability, traffic and more.

With presentations from City Council and each of the city departments, the academy is a free, nine-session program held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 8. to Oct. 27 and Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Hub at Posse Grounds Park.

“This is a great opportunity to get involved, gain firsthand knowledge and understanding of city processes and, learn about projects that are currently underway. You’ll meet City Councilors and city staff and hear about city priorities,” said city of Sedona Public Relations Coordinator Ashley Hardy.
