… so here is my part time island in the part time lake … not as magnificent as that castle on the lake in Scotland … I take that back, perhaps more elegant than that island … no roadway or bridge out there and not messed up with construction by humans, just the beauty provided by nature. A simple and solitary tree graces the snow covered island, Come summer the lake will be gone and the island an island no more … at least until next year.

You can see the roads on both sides of the lake which are not passable now, but come summer will find me up there shooting songbirds, squirrels and all the other wildlife to be found up there. To get there, after you get past the switchbacks going north on 89A from Sedona, the turnoff is on the left side a mile or so above them and past the overlook to Oak Creek Canyon.

I am really behind on emails again and the plan is to catch up tomorrow. Also time to keyword my 2019 portfolio … a true incentive to delete, delete!

Have a beautiful day … share a smile with others even if you are both hiding behind a mask … I think you can tell?

    Cheers

O sweet content! where is thy mild abode
Where I may dwell in endless peace?
Show me the much sought road
    And give the lease.

The answer came, “Then cease to vainly roam
In search of me, for thou wilt find
    My quiet, hidden home
    Within thy mind.

    If I Were Curtis Sliwa
    By Tommy Acosta

One of my guilty little pleasures is imagining what I would do if I was in someone else’s shoes, especially politicians. In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
