… a very different view of the Mitten formations in Oak Creek Canyon above uptown and before the canyon turns north. In the upper right quadrant you can see Midgley bridge just below the cloud and of course SR89A runs up and down the canyon on that side of the creek. I am above the clouds over the rim of the Colorado Plateau and you can see the edge of the rim running along the entire lower section of the photo and on the right side of the image just above the edge of the rim you can see Schnebly Hill road wending its way up the canyon before it begins to climb the rim and top out on the edge of the plateau. I was at 11,953′ and the GPS coordinates are 34,50.6081N and 111,39.8965W. Canon 5D MK IV camera and the EF24-70mm f/2.8 II USM lens. 1/2000 s at f/6.3, 67mm, ISO 200. Using the lens at 67mm brings the shot in a little tighter and looks closer than it is. Kind of a fun shot!
Lot’s of work on jewelry today and tomorrow as I finish carving the black jade which is going into an 18kyg and black jade ring … also finishing the opal which will be inlaid in the ring. Going to be an exceptional piece and photos will follow … carve the wax for the rest of the ring and then down to my goldsmith the end of the week.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
