… I took this shot of a Grackle a couple of days ago down at the ponds. He was perched on one of the iron crossbars of a dock in a pond and checking for food in the vicinity. I didn’t see it until I uploaded the photo, but there is a spider web between the cross bars upper right portion of the intersection and to the right of the grackles tail feathers.  Operating within the limits of the camera, the 90D is an absolutely fantastic camera.

A fun day today, after coffee this morning, Hawk and I went out to the shooting range off Beaver Head Flat Road and did some shooting … the  12 gauge pump was my preferred weapon … easier to hit a target with a wider distribution of shot. We did pretty good with the .357 magnum too … then it was down to the ponds to do some shooting with a camera and an early dinner at Mesa Grill. Hawk is proficient in aircraft that beat the air into submission (helicopters) while I prefer fixed wing and the silent wings of soaring flight … we both enjoy the ambiance of airports.

Into another day and hope it shall be a beautiful day filled with joy … a few smiles go a long way to showing others what a great day you are having.

    Cheers

Though changed as are my songs from youth,
A voice within my heart still sings,
Live thou in tenderness and truth,
And love mankind instead of things.
