logo MATForceVerde Valley AZ (January 30, 2012) – There are many varying medical and non-medical opinions on the question: “Is marijuana addictive?” MATFORCE’s February 9th Lunch ‘n Learn will look at the research and address marijuana’s potential for dependence or addiction. This presentation will outline a five stage progression of addiction as seen from a treatment perspective. Presenters include John Schuderer, MA, LCP, LISAC from West Yavapai Guidance Clinic and Wayne P. Sisson, MA.

According to the Office of the National Drug Control Policy, “More teens enter treatment each year with a primary diagnosis of marijuana dependence than for all other illicit drugs combined. Currently, 62% percent of teens in drug treatment are dependent on marijuana.”
