… another successful day for this Osprey as he flies off to eat the chub he has just extracted from the water at Bubbling Ponds around 5PM tonight. I took a break from the photo selection process to do a little work on Mariah, thence to the ponds for a walk and to shoot whatever I found … very specific intentions. It was beautiful and also windy and there wasn’t a lot of wildlife hanging out there, then as I was leaving, I looked up and this guy was making his appearance. He over flew the ponds and took kind of an easy swing over me before diving for the water a couple of ponds down from me and coming up with this fine chubby chub. He flew to a tree to consume his dinner and perhaps come back for another one after I left … it was a rather small fish.
More work on photos and stones tomorrow, working on some beautiful gold in white quartz from Colorado currently and … also finishing up a Power Point presentation I am doing for Keep Sedona Beautiful on September 12th . The title is “Meandering through Northern Arizona … and as seen through the lens, eye and mind of Ted Grussing.” About 120 of my favorite photos of Sedona and other parts of Northern Arizona … scenic, aerial, wildlife and the abstract. My friend Mary Helsaple is giving classes on Water Color Techniques over a period of six Wednesdays beginning on September 5thfrom 2 to 4PM each Wednesday. In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
