… very nearly a perfect day and to tell the truth I’m not sure why I couldn’t call it a perfect day other than that perfection is something to strive for and never quite achieving in this life … secretly I think I can say that it was a perfect day because it was spent alone, in the company of friends, thinking of and talking with friends and working on beautiful photographs. Some expected and a good dose of the unexpected and finally the day is closing out … I am still here and enriched greatly by the day now ended and filled with expectations of the day now underway. Perfection enough, at least for me.

This is one of the Iris that our friend, Allan, planted for Corky, five years ago … we watched him plant them and we knew that she would never see them bloom, but there was the expectation that they would and we could visualize the beauty that would emanate from the planting and they have flourished year after year now this image being from last springs bloom. I need to water and fertilize them soon so that we get flowers again this year … love Iris.

That’s it for this week and soon we’re into the weekend … enjoy your days, keep breathing and keep smiling. Each day we get to make new choices and find the beauty that surrounds us …

    Cheers

But from the brooding beauty of the night, and daily dancing shafts of golden sun …
The mystery and wonder of the world … that play the soundless music of the soul
And fill the heart with memory’s olden dreams … From these will come at last your faith in God.
