Yesterday morning I cruised Mingus and spent some time shooting the mining operations for the Phoenix Cement Plant in Clarksdale; the sculpting of the mountain side is awesome and so I began messing around with this shot looking down on the area … I made the decision to convert it to an abstraction and this is the result … the artist in me I guess. Anyhow, hope you like it and most likely some living creature tomorrow night as I’m heading back to Watson Lake in the afternoon. The plan is to try the 5D MK IV with a 400mm prime lens and see how it does on wildlife in motion. So far nothing has beat the 1D-X bodies, but I have to see if the MK IV with twice the pixel count will work as well. Probably the answer is no, but we’ll see.
It was a fun day today and I think I got a lot done, although it doesn’t seem like it … time to wrap the day. Have a beautiful day and share a smile with those you meet and greet today … we’re all in this life together and might as well do our best to make it good for others too.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
