… after One decided she had thoroughly patrolled her territory, she led the way back into the house and I decided to head up to the airport and catch a beautiful sunset in the air. I also got a few nice shots of red rocks in last light, but it was the sunset of a very quiet day I wanted. Finally the sun began slipping behind Mingus Mountain and all the residual smoke in the air lent some beautiful color to the sky … flying as a glider I slipped silently through the darkening sky and caught the reflection of the setting sun on the cowling and the motionless propeller. The wind was calm and a silent landing at Sedona on a deserted runway and field. Came to a stop short of A4, engine restart, cleared the runway and taxied back to my shade at the N end of the field. It is beautiful with all the runway and taxiway lights glowing in the dark across the whole length of the mesa … gateway to the world.
A stop at Wildflower Bakery for a large sugar free vanilla latte and a BLT with avocado lettuce wrap and home. Mike finished painting the interior of our home today; just the doors and refinishing of the kitchen cabinets to go … feels nice in here with new colors and accent walls. In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
