The featured speaker will be Erin Mabery, Executive Director, Buena Vista Children’s Services. Ms Mabery trains and promotes Early  Childhood professionals and community members on such programs as “Read On Arizona”, “Love and Logic Parenting”, and “Northern Arizona Restorative Justice”.   She works directly with those interested in concerns such as childcare disaster readiness and community health promotion.  Ms Mabery has written, piloted and/or managed  programs such as “Discovery Connection”, and “Bright Futures Childcare”.

Ms Mabery’s presentation to University Women will be about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and how they can plague generations of families.   She will describe how, with concerted effort, families and communities can be strengthened utilizing the principles of the Strengthening Families program, thus resulting in successful individuals, families, communities and organizations.
