Sedona AZ (January 30, 2017) – The Sedona Heritage Museum is hosting the next in its Living History speaker series on Wednesday February 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Museum when Jonathan Pringle will speak about archival holdings related to Sedona and the Verde Valley found at Northern Arizona University’s Cline Library, Special Collections and Archives.
Pringle will share some of the treasures housed in Special Collections and some of the stories of how these artifacts, photos and recorded histories were found and brought to the library.
The Cline Library serves as the home for the archives of Northern Arizona University. The photographs, records, and oral histories available online capture the stories of northern Arizona and the greater Colorado Plateau.
Jonathan Pringle is the Archivist for Arrangement & Description with NAU’s Cline Library, Special Collections and Archives Dept. In this role, he undertakes physical and intellectual processing and dissemination of collections material in all media formats. He has been working as a professional archivist since graduating from the University of British Columbia’s Master’s in Archival Studies Program in 2008.
This is a free event and open to the public.
Every year, the Sedona Heritage Museum presents a series of Living History talks. Speakers include descendants of pioneers, long-time residents with historical stories to share or other story-tellers about history.
