    VVFD Responds to Cottonwood Motorcycle Accident

    logo_verdevalleyfiredistrictCottonwood AZ (May 19, 2016) – On May 18 at approximately 2:30 pm the Verde Valley Fire District responded to motorcycle accident on 4200 block of Del Rio Dr.  Upon arrival crews found one patient face down on the pavement with his motorcycle next to him.  Patient survey revealed a head injury and the patient was in and out of consciousness. 

    Further patient assessment discovered the patient was not wearing a helmet.

    Patient was treated for his injuries and transported to Flagstaff Medical Center VIA Guardian Medical Helicopter.  Verde Valley Fire District was assisted by Cottonwood Fire and Police Department, and YCSO.  VVFD would like to remind all cyclist of how important it is to wear helmets to prevent or reduce injuries.
