The most fun dinner party you will EVER attend! Guests are part of the action and the fun — and the cooking — as world-renowned chef and best-selling author brings his cabaret cooking show to Sedona in benefit for the film festival
Sedona AZ (September 3, 2015) – It’s a celebration of food, wine and song! A taste of Italy and a musical dinner cabaret combine to create the most fun and entertaining dinner party you will ever attend! The Singing Chef brings his award-winning show to Sedona on Saturday, Sept. 5, presented by the Sedona International Film Festival. Enjoy a Tuscan evening with great food, wine and entertainment with world-renowned chef, entertainer and best-selling author Andy LoRusso — The Singing Chef — at the Hilton Sedona Resort in a benefit for the film festival.
Part cooking cabaret and part international cooking musical, “The Singing Chef: A Culinary Cabaret” makes the guests part of the action — and the cooking — in a show that will leave you singing and dancing long after the event. It is truly an experience you will never forget!
Andy LoRusso has been cooking, singing and entertaining guests all around the world. A New Jersey native, Andy found himself torn between his love for Italian food and his passion for singing. He even signed with Epic Records and recorded several jazz standards, as well as studied the arias and love songs of the great Italian composers.
A couple decades ago, he combined his family’s favorite recipes and his musical love, and The Singing Chef was born — along with a best-selling book, Sing and Cook Italian.
In this cabaret-style dinner show, Andy will cook and sing his way through all four courses being prepared for this special evening. The audience will be singing, clapping and tapping along to such showstoppers as That’s Amore, Volare, Tarantella and many more — all in the spirit of Italy, fine dining and celebration!
Andy will be joined by Hilton Executive Chef Salvatore Moscato and members of the audience who will join in the cooking and the fun … live, on stage!
“I like to snake my way through the audience, followed by the wait staff,” says Andy. “It gets the energy in the room sizzling!”
Film festival director Patrick Schweiss and the festival events team, headed by board chair Beverly Hurff, promise a few surprises to celebrate this special evening.
“The Singing Chef: A Culinary Cabaret” will take place at 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Hilton Sedona Resort. In addition to the show and four-course dinner, guests will enjoy wine tastings featuring local vineyards (the official wines of the film festival), auction, raffle and much more.
