The Southbound Route From The Municipal Parking Lot To Cottonwood, The Car Wash Stop Between Harmony Drive and Andante Drive, And The Dry Creek Stop
Sedona AZ (April 29, 2015) – Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT), which operates the Verde Lynx, is announcing the following changes to the Lynx Route in Sedona. These changes are due to the new shelters that have been installed at these locations. Please note that these are permanent location changes for these stops and will be reflected in the next round of new schedules when they are printed.
The biggest change is to the stop that is currently located between Harmony Drive and Andante Drive. This stop will be moved to the right turn lane for Andante Drive, before Andante. ADOT requested this change so that the bus stop is out of the main roadway for safety reasons.
The second is at Dry Creek Road, where it is currently in the right turn lane for Dry Creek Road. ADOT requested the change to the right turn lane for the shopping market just past Dry Creek Road as it was deemed a less congested area for the bus to stop.
These changes are in conjunction with new shelters being installed at those locations for the convenience of the riders that use the Lynx Service. We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion that may have occurred during the construction of the shelters. These stops will be in effect as soon as the construction is completed, expected late afternoon April 24.
CAT provides ADA Paratransit service and three fixed routes serving Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Verde Villages, as well as Verde Lynx service to Sedona. For more information about Verde Valley public transportation, please call the CAT office at 938-634-2287.
