logo_sedonapoliceSedona AZ (April 11, 2015) – The Sedona Police Department will be deploying personnel throughout the months of April 2015 and May 2015 to provide traffic control management on State Route 89A in the Uptown area.  The traffic control details will primarily take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Police personnel will be focusing on facilitating smoother traffic flows between Forest Road and the mid-block traffic signal north of Jordan Road.

These details may include restricting left turns from SR 89A onto Jordan Road.  Northbound motorists needing to access Jordan Road will be directed to follow a detour route through Forest Road.  While police personnel will be doing what is possible to improve traffic flows, the number of vehicles on the roadway along with the volume of pedestrian activity may still cause periods of traffic delays and congestion.  The Sedona Police Department appreciates the patience and understanding of our residents, businesses, and visitors as we work together in making our community a safe and enjoyable place to experience.
