    Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Sedona premiere of “The Ballad of Wallis Island” showing May 9-15 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

    “The Ballad of Wallis Island” follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer (Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden) back together.

    His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.

    Somehow, amiable Charles must find a way to manage a collection of strong personalities if he’s to witness his dream performance, while Herb slowly begins to realize that his happiness might depend on his willingness to reconnect with his past.

    “The Ballad of Wallis Island” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre May 9-15. Showtimes will be Friday and Monday, May 9 and 12 at 4:00 & 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m.; Sunday, May 11 at 4:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, May 13, 14 and 15 at 7:00 p.m.
