Sedona News – There will be a march in Sedona at 10 am on Thursday, May 1 beginning at the Jack Jamesen Veterans Park, 25 Northview Road in West Sedona, going to Airport Road and returning to a rally at the Park. This is part of a coordinated event taking place in over 100 cities across the country highlighting the assault on ordinary Americans.

The message is benefits over billionaires, families over fortunes. This nationwide May Day event recognizes workers and those who depend on them and is in opposition to the  actions being taken by the Administration to deprive people of benefits they have earned and deserve.

The Administration’s policies attack wages, benefits, and individual rights. Trump and the billionaires assisting him want to roll back labor rights, fire Federal employees without due process and make it more difficult for people to receive Social Security, Veteran’s Benefits, Food Stamps and Medicaid.

Historically May 1 is a day to speak out for workers and people’s rights. This May 1st that message is even more important.

Concerned residents throughout the Verde Valley will march. The event is sponsored nationally by a huge coalition of unions and citizens groups and locally by Indivisible Sedona, After The March Indivisible, Democrats of the Red Rocks, Indivisible Rimrock, Indivisible Cottonwood, Cornville and Clarkdale, Indivisible Camp Verde and Verde Valley Democrats.
