    … in true fashion for creatures on this little planet, a couple of crows resorted to the age old method of dispute resolution by engaging in a bit of rough play … no idea what it was all about, but it went on for several minutes and I got hundreds of beautiful shots of them so engaged, on the 11th tee box. I spent about an hour and a half relaxing on the deck this afternoon and there were a plethora of birds and critters that showed up.

    I missed the first attack in the pinion pine by the Coopers Hawk, as I had Katie on my lap … he made off with a dove that time … later after I brought Katie inside, he returned and the usual explosion in the tree as he attacked and all the birds scattered. I got this photo of him starting a leap to a higher branch in the tree as he went for a straggler … this time he drew a blank and went on to another part of his territory for additional food.

    A new week and day is underway … my plan is for a very good day, sharing smiles and the joy of life and a continuation of breathing! Only you get to choose what kind of day you have … choose well!

    With joy,

    Ted

    One morn I rose and looked upon the world.
    “Have I been blind until this hour?” I said.
    O’er every trembling leaf the sun had spread,
    And was like golden tapestry unfurled;
    And as the moments passed more light was hurled
    Upon the drinking earth athirst for light;
    And I, beholding all this wondrous sight,
    Cried out aloud, “O God, I love Thy world!”
    And since that waking, often I drink deep
    The joy of dawn, and peace abides with me;
    And though I know that I again shall see
    Dark fear with withered hand approach my sleep,
    More sure am I when lonely night shall flee,
    At dawn the sun will bring good cheer to me.
