Kamala: A Path to Victory

Sedona, AZ — Oh my!  Biden drops out of the race and now it’s up to Kamala to bring the ship home.

But what makes us so sure that another double-cross is not waiting in the wings to happen?

The convention is a few weeks away and just about anything can occur between now and then.

And we can’t discount an “unexpected” switch at the midstream point with good old Hillary and gang sharpening their knives behind the curtains.

But asides from Hillary, assuming that the forces that be are going to go with Kamala, there are a number of things she can do to defeat Trump.

For one, she has to be relentless in her attacks on him. She needs to pound and pound him with his criminality, lies and indiscretions.

He needs to be held accountable for women losing their federal abortion rights.

He needs to be held accountable for his attacks on women, period.

Feeling them up in elevators, forcing himself on them, assaulting them, even if most of the accusations are lies, she should just attack, attack, attack anyway.

She has to shirk the giggles, and just go in for the political kill. Get serious. Learn how not  to laugh. Get angry!

Also, she needs to get loud, really loud, learn how to talk like JFK. Practice pounding lecterns.

Get tough on the border. Expose on stage Trumps tsunami of lies. Not to say any other politician is any different. Nothing personal.

She needs to further paint Trump as an arrogant egomaniac who will destroy the country if not stopped.

Also,  America is not a crumbling or ruined country but rather, the best one in the world.

Make America greater; not make it great again. It already is.

She needs to make as many TV appearances, as possible. Make this a women’s issue — a liberation of women from the dominance of the arrogant patriarchal male.

As noted in the War Room, a cyber publication:

“Trump has blocked women’s access to health care through legislation, regulations, judicial appointments, and legal action.

• In 2016, Trump called for an abortion ban with “some form of punishment” for women — which was tooextreme even for many anti-abortion activists.
• Trump tried to limit access to reproductive health care by supporting legislation that would institute a restrictive20-week abortion ban and block insurance plans that cover abortions.
• Trump slashed funding forfamily planning programs and health care providers that provide abortion services or referrals.
• Trump issued a regulation allowing employers torefuse to provide no-cost contraception coverage as previously required under the Affordable Care Act.
• After promising to “automatically” overturn Roe v. Wade, Trump has packed theSupreme Court and circuit courts with extremist opponents of abortion rights.
• Trump isfighting to overturn the Affordable Care Act, which could allow insurers to charge women more and not cover maternity care.
• Trump chose theanti-abortion extremist Mike Pence as his running mate and Betsy DeVos, who compared the choice to have an abortion to the choice to own slaves, as his secretary of education.
• As president he has aggressivelytouted his anti-abortion agenda, and the president of the Susan B. Anthony List called Trump “the most pro-life president in our nation’s history.”

Trump revoked protections against sexual harassment, sexual assault, and discrimination at work and school.

• During the 2016 campaign, Trump said women would make the same as men if they “do as good a job.”
• Trump revoked protections againstworkplace sexual harassment, sexual assault, discrimination, and pay disparities.
• Trump rescinded Obama-eracampus sexual assault guidelines, which required colleges to take allegations more seriously and hold perpetrators accountable, and narrowed the definition of sexual harassment.

Trump has failed to reduce the cost of childcare and made little progress on paid family leave.

• Trump has defended employers who paymothers less than men and called pregnancy an “inconvenience” for employers, so it’s not surprising he has failed to follow through on his promise to “solve” childcare.
• Trump’s tax scamreduced the value of the childcare credit for low- and moderate-income families even as it gave huge tax cuts to big corporations and the wealthiest 1%.
• In the midst of a pandemic in which women aredisproportionately losing their jobs, Trump scaled back paid leave requirements, leaving 75% of workers at risk of not receiving paid leave for childcare.
• Trump touted an insufficient paid family leave proposal that “does not offer what has generally been considered paid family leave.”

These are actions Trump has taken against women. Kamala needs to commit the above to memory and whack Trump at every opportunity with his past denigration of women.

Now, let’s not forget Hillary. Or even Mrs. Obama. But even if either of them is selected, they should be very familiar with what Trump has done to women during his tenure as president.

Again, this is not meant to be a condemnation of Trump or an endorsement of Kamala. It’s just a blueprint, one of one of many options available for the Democrats to beat the Republicans this election.
