Sedona AZ (November 15, 2018) – A full lineup of 160 films – selected from more than 1400 entries – evening events and parties, workshops and very special guests from the film industry will highlight the 25th anniversary Sedona International Film Festival, Feb. 23-March 3, 2019. Advance-sale passes and ticket pages go on sale Nov. 20.

“We’ve been planning for our Silver Anniversary Festival for more than a year, and the excitement is reaching a fever pitch already,” said Executive Director Pat Schweiss.  “We’re screening more films than ever before to select the lineup for this year.  The tremendous quality of the films we’re seeing is reflective our growing reputation and we’re actively scouting for great films to bring in.  With everything we’ve got planned, it will be a week filled with great entertainment, great films and great memories.”

In honor of the 25th anniversary, in the weeks leading up to opening weekend, the Festival will screen the top 25 Audience Choice Award winners.

Schweiss said that Academy Award-winner Jane Alexander, who received the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award, will return to Sedona “and has helped us tremendously in our planning and our outreach.”

A kick-off event is being planned “as a way of thanking our community for its deep and consistent support over the years,” Schweiss said.  Details will be announced.  The full lineup of films and celebrity guests will be announced at the end of January.

    Does it Really Matter?

Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
