    Sedona, AZ –How quickly it could all end. All it takes is a solar flare of sufficient magnitude or a hurtling astroid to shut down the planet’s grid system and “Poof,” it’s all gone.

    Things never looked bleaker and we may be on the eve of destruction. Nuclear war can occur any moment.

    When it happens chaos and mayhem will sweep across the planet and it would be civilized nations that would suffer the most.

    There would be no food, no gas, electricity or running water. Survival would depend on how many essentials you have stored or to what lengths would you go to steal it from a neighbor or stranger.

    Those with horses would stand a better chance for they would have mobility. It would be a good idea to have bicycles as well since cars would no longer work.

    Solar panels and other types of energy producing tools would help, and of course owning a small arsenal.

    Try to imagine the chaos on the streets with no traffic lights, no gas, just people wandering aimlessly around searching for food and water and direction, ready to take it from another by force if necessary,

    If the chaos does not ensue from solar flare or comet it can happen from a nuclear device exploding over the earth’s magnetic poles or in the heart of a city

    Regardless, once the grid blows, it blows, and all our creature comforts will be gone.

    My recommendation?

    Sedona Gift Shop

    Buy a farm. Stock up on guns and ammo. Get your solar panels. Buy logs and a wood-burning stove.

    Also, you will need a faraday cage  (EMP blocking device) to protect your communication devices.

    Store water in 50-gallon barrels. Stock up on non-perishable food items. Seeds. Warm clothes, shoes.

    Stock up on charcoal, lighters, batteries, flashlights. Make sure you have a BBQ grill.

    Assemble friends to create an armed platoon to protect your properties, food and water.

    Buy silver dimes, quarters and dollars.

    Get a battery-operated portable ham radio.

    Don’t forget anti-biotics and pain killers, alcohol, disinfectants and bandages to go with them.

    The key is to be prepared as much as possible for the coming Armageddon. How ready are you?

      Pretty interesting Tommy. Having been in several other countries experiencing Civil War at the scale of nearly complete Armageddon I can tell you that most prepper skills and stocks go out the window rapidly. Having sticks of food and water never hurts especially in areas prone to natural disasters but both run out or go bad rapidly.
      There is usually fuel available in black markets and sold for $100 or more a gallon and is usually contaminated and unusable.
      Precious metals may get you some necessities but the second anyone better prepared and better armed finds out you have them, you won’t have them anymore. What has value one day can become completely worthless the next. I imagine first aid supplies, medicine, water, food, guns and ammo will be hot items but they will not be for sale of barter. You will either have them or won’t and you either will keep them or rapidly lose them.
      There’s usually organized heavily armed bands of thieves and murderers roving around seeking to take whatever they want and need from whoever may have it. And the Ad Hoc armed “platoon of friends” stand little to no chance against these groups as they are usually on the offensive while your “platoon of friends” will be forced to be on defense which is far more difficult to do.
      Regardless of what sparks global Armageddon there will still be professional military that survive and will also be out scavenging and killing en mass. And if one nuke is launched they will all be launched and will cause such horrific destruction and contamination that the earth (if it were to survive) will be forever uninhabitable by man ever again. There will be nuclear winter and other disasters such as major quakes and flooding caused by them. So the few days, weeks or months people manage to survive in nuke proof bunkers or in happenstance shelters will be incredibly short lived and an exercise in futility because the end result will still be suffering followed by inevitable death.

      Look at Haiti a country currently being held hostage by roving bands of armed street gangs who are pillaging their way through daily existence while having to be on defense for other larger better armed gangs. The military and law enforcement apparatus has failed. Citizens even armed ones have little to no chance of getting what they need to survive because of this. Kenyan peacekeepers who do not speak the language are en route. I see it ending in bloodshed like Somalia.

        Not a pessimist I’m a realist who has seen what I speak of first hand, and you? I’ve seen towns the size of Sedona completely destroyed and everything living thing in it to include peoples pets dragged out into the street and shot. I’ve seen people told to flee their homes in order to survive only to have hundreds blown to pieces as they fled over a bridge, the aggressors then cut the fetuses from the corpses of the dead women who were pregnant (usually from being raped by their oppressors) and the fetuses hung from trees around the freshly blown up bridge. What’s so positive about Armageddon, War and human annihilation GenieAss? You can change your username but you obviously cannot change your ignorance and conspiratorial stupidity.

          That is bloody horrific JB. Can’t imagine having to see such horrors and cannot fathom having to live through such absolute absurdities and insanity. That’s war is it not, mankind at it’s very worst! I worked for P&W in the UK’s military industrial complex testing various electronic components for EMP vulnerabilities and worked to make vehicles and aircraft EMP resistant. No such thing as EMP proof anything. Any who, I never really thought much about the people these weapons would be used upon and focused upon making them safe for the people who used them. Guess we are prone to thinking about our GI’s doing their jobs and seeing it on the telly as “shock and aw”. We rarely see or think of the civilians on the other end. Don’t care about killing military on military as that is in the job description. But civilians don’t sign up for that nuttiness. Sorry for what you have been through all the same.

        You. Sure like calling others “haters” and hateful for saying factual truthful things about I’ll Douche and nothing violent toward him nor about you. Yet you have wished me “death” on multiple occasions now.       An EMP event??? It’s called an Electro Magnetic Pulse not an event-period! And EMP’s are the very least of mankind’s worries if the nukes begin to fly. The average nuke is 20-50,000 kilo tons of explosive power. Multiply that 5-600 times and you will have a better understanding of the enormous amount of damage their detonation alone will cause. Then there’s the blast waves, thermal radiation and destruction, nuclear fallout that drifts thousands of miles and subsequent nuclear winter along with massive quakes and floods resulting from the tremendous power of these weapons exploding. This doesn’t even take into consideration the hydrogen, thermobaric, chemical and biological weapons that will be launched in concert with the nukes. Then there’s the 500lb-200 ton conventional bombs that will also be falling. And btw- The half- life of plutonium-238 is 87.7 years. The half-life of plutonium-239 is 24,100 years. The half-life of plutonium-240 is 6,560 years so if you think you’ll somehow survive in a bunker then crawl out and start planting crops or scavenging canned foods from remnants of homes and businesses you can forget about it- they and the earth will be contaminated far longer than you will be alive. Yes, something to be very positive about here-not! Love to hear your points of positivity when it comes to Armageddon.
