Yavapai County SheriffCottonwood AZ (March 14, 2012) – PRELIMINARY INFORMATION – On March 13, 2012, at approximately 11:15 AM, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported vehicle vs. bicycle collision in the 900 block of Rio Mesa Trail, Cottonwood (Verde Villages). EMS personnel were treating the injured bicyclist who was eventually flown to Flagstaff Medical Center due to head trauma and a possible broken arm. The bicyclist is identified as Michael Moore, 27, from Glendale, Arizona. Moore was in surgery yesterday and remains in intensive care. An updated condition was not available at the time of this release.

The initial investigation revealed that a 17-year-old female driver entered the east bound lane of Rio Mesa Trail from private property, and crossed into the path of a bicycle ridden by Mr. Moore. The vehicle involved was a 1997 white Saturn sedan. Members of the YCSO Accident Reconstruction Team were called to the scene to gather information and evidence as part of their investigation to establish the cause.

In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
