Christian Robinson, Director of Internet Sales & Marketing & Mac MacFarlane, both of Findlay Subaru Prescott, were instrumental in selecting the YCSRT-Backcountry Unit as one of the Hometown Charities purchasers could designate their $250.00 charity contribution resulting from the sale of a new Subaru vehicle.

Sheriff Mascher- ‘I am extremely thankful to Findlay Subaru and Subaru of America for this donation. Our rescue teams provide an invaluable resource to this community and their efforts have saved lives. I appreciate the willingness of Findlay and Subaru to bring attention and monies to these dedicated volunteers in the Backcountry Unit.”

The Backcountry Unit is a team with a wide range of skills.  Currently, the team consists of Trackers, Hasty Searchers, Swiftwater Rescue Technicians, Technical Rope-Rescue Technicians, and Medical First Responders.  The Backcountry Unit also has eight Short-Haul Technicians who work alongside the crews of the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Air Rescue Helicopters. The Backcountry Unit is commonly called as a rapid response unit in the initial stages of a search or rescue operation. See http://ycsrt.org/?q=about_backcountry_unit for more information on these incredible volunteers.

We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
